Body Problems

To understand why we have body problems there are a few principles that we must understand.

  1. The human body is not completely self-correcting.  The structure (bones) can and do get misaligned in such a way that the body does not have the ability to correct on its own. This is self-evident because if it were self-correcting then we would not have any problems!

  2. The human body is a leverage system.  Muscles attach to bones, and we are able to move due to leverage.  When your body has proper leverage it works properly (i.e. no pain or tension) and when it doesn’t have proper leverage it has to work harder (i.e. pain or tension).

  3. The human body is a self-balancing organism.  Thank goodness!  There are so many things going on in the body (shifting bones, contacting some muscles and relaxing other muscles, etc.) to keep us upright and stable. If we had to think of all the things that are going on moment to moment we could think of nothing else. Also, since your body cannot correct every misalignment when it self-balances it has to compensate by twisting up slightly. These compensations are the reason for most, if not all, of our symptoms.

  4. The human body is a single, synchronous, functional unit.  In other words, the whole body works all together in real time.

When all this information is put together it means this:  The human body develops misalignments that it cannot correct on it’s own. These misalignments lead to leverage problems.  These leverage problems are balanced out by layers of compensations that are created all over the body because the whole body works as a single unit!

The Math Equation of Mechanical Body Problems:

Bones Misaligned Forward + Magnitude to which the Bones are Misaligned Forward + Order in which the Bones became Misaligned Forward + Body Compensation Pattern(s) (aka twist of the body)= BODY PROBLEMS
